It all began at 5:30 am rolling out of my bunk bed and stuffing my bags into the back of my roommate Joni’s car.  Thank-you Joni for rising early to take me to the airport.  Sitting on the plane, ready to go, the pilot makes a series of announcements ending in sitting at the gate on the plane for 2 hours due to an engine light problem.  I missed my connection in Phoenix and although I stood by for the next 3 flights to Colorado Springs, ALL had been oversold.  So I spent 7 hours at the Phoenix airport and missed the 1st day of Summit getting into Colorado Springs at 10pm.  Dispite the rough start, no one can feel too bad when at The Glen.                                                                  Rock Formations   Big Horned SheepCastle

Nate got really close to the Big Horned Sheep↑

The glen is 12,000 acres neighboring Garden of the Gods with miles of hiking trails, cabins, and a castle!

Most of the 10 days we took in aspects of collegiate ministry – praying, meeting new students, explaining the gospel, leading an investigative bible study, etc.  As an Edge class we have 75 people, but it had to be split up this summer into two summits so I was in the June group of 25.  I had so much fun with everyone!  Best people you can imagine, everyone had a great time and it was like I had no worries what so ever, it felt absolutly FREE.

Fountain Time

Kevin Take Us to the BarA fountain in Colorado Springs that played music and danced each hour.

Hanging out after a hard day at funding school.

Funding school helpful as it was, was also a 4 day anxiety attack.  We had toys and snacks and everything possible to make it bearable – such as Caryn going out to Starbucks to bring us all coffee :)
